SEMONEMO CODING PROGRAM
Semonemo Coding
Coding that teaches how to think, not just how to memorize a language. Small-group online classes where kids learn the ideas with Scratch, then build games and their own projects in Python.
Enrollment is available after a placement test and an individual consultation.

How kids learn coding at Semonemo
Crash courses like "Python in a month" teach syntax, but languages change over time. Semonemo Coding first builds the skills that last: breaking a problem down, putting steps in order, and making something real.
Kids start by describing everyday sequences — rock-paper-scissors, brushing teeth — in their own made-up coding language, then bring motion and stories to life in Scratch. Once the ideas click, they build games in Python, and at the top levels they come up with ideas in teams and build them with the teacher.

What makes it different
Thinking comes first
Logical thinking, creativity, and problem solving, built through code.
Growth you can see in belts
From White Belt to Black Belt, each level takes about two months.
Every level ends with a project
In the last class of each level, students present a program they built, then move up a belt.
Small groups, quick answers
Students ask questions as they go and work through problems together.

What you need and tuition
- Tuition is set by the number of classes in 4 weeks and differs by level (see the levels above).
- Students need their own computer (laptop or desktop) to code. A tablet makes it hard to follow along.
- Beginners are placed in the right level for their age and experience after a consultation.
1:1 private classes available
Every class can also be taken as a private 1:1 class instead of a group class, with the schedule and pace set for your child.
How classes work
- Student page
- After enrolling, you'll get a link to your child's student page. Join class, find class materials, and watch past class recordings — all in one place. Bookmark it on your child's device.
- Homework
- Each class's teacher shares homework and feedback.
- Absences and make-ups
- Missed classes still count toward your enrolled classes. For group classes, your child can catch up with the recording. If something comes up, please let the teacher know in advance — the teacher may not count the class or may schedule a make-up.
- Refunds
- See section 5 (Refunds) of our Terms of Service.
