HOW WE TEACH
We follow through until it shows
- 01
Start with a level check
A level test and consultation place each child in the right class — by skill, not by grade.
- 02
Small groups, more time to speak and write
With few students, every child gets time to present and ask questions, and homework with feedback carries learning past class.
- 03
Progress, homework and levels — managed
We don't just run classes. Semonemo tracks progress, homework and level changes, and updates parents regularly.
- 04
A path to the next level
From phonics to chapter-book reading to writing — finishing one level leads naturally into the next.

PARENT REVIEWS
What parents say
“My child was shy and unfamiliar with English, but soon after starting at Semonemo she can blend sounds and says class is more fun than at preschool. Meeting a good teacher helped her get over her fear of English, and these days she's starting to say things in English.”
Parent (translated from Korean)
LTR Phonics
“My child started Writing Level 6 at the start of 6th grade in the US. … Over 20 weeks of steady classes and feedback, the weak spots got filled in. As a result, my child gained confidence in English writing and now writes faster and more. After writing many kinds of essays, my child writes good essays without stress — not just in English class but in every subject — and gets good results.”
Parent (translated from Korean)
Writing Lv.6
“Since starting Semonemo, my child finished the school's ESL program in just one year, and their state NWEA test results grew remarkably within that year.”

OUR STORY
Founded by two moms
Founded by two Korean moms raising kids in the US
Raising kids in the US, we saw a gap — nowhere to ask questions in Korean, and few classes that truly fit kids growing up with two languages. Two moms built Semonemo to fill it. Today we run it from both the US and Korea.
